Haley
Treatment Coordinator
Haley is passionate about orthodontics, and she brings a strong background in healthcare and patient services shaped by more than eight years of experience across both clinical and administrative roles to the team here at Degenhardt Orthodontics.
Originally from Clarkston, Michigan, Haley holds a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. Haley loves creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for you and your family.
Outside the practice, Haley loves spending time with family and friends, and is obsessed with watersports! Fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply soaking up the sun—she’s here for it.
Jessica
Orthodontic Assistant
Jessica has spent more than 24 years helping patients feel confident in their smiles. Starting right here at Degenhardt at age 16 as a sterilization technician, she’s grown into a highly-skilled orthodontic assistant known for her steady, reliable care.
A Highland, Michigan native, Jessica brings extensive experience, compassion, and a calming presence to the clinic. She loves being part of patients’ smile journeys and supporting them through each transformation.
Outside the office, Jessica loves cheering on her favorite team at any and all manner of sporting events, crafting, and spending time with her four beautiful children—two in grade school and two in college.
Beth
Insurance Coordinator & Front Desk
Beth has been part of the practice for more than 27 years, beginning her career with the previous orthodontist in 1998. A Highland local and former hairdresser/beautician, she brings warmth, creativity, and a natural ability to make patients feel at ease.
Beth is passionate about building strong patient connections and watching your family’s smiles come to life. We’re so grateful for her thoughtful approach to care and the long-term relationships she builds along the way.
When she’s off the clock, Beth loves reading, crafting, spending time outdoors, and keeping up with her three daughters, nine grandchildren, and her beloved pets.
Julie
Orthodontic Assistant
Julie has been a valued member of this practice for more than 30 years, playing an important role in helping patients—especially children—feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout treatment.
Julie is a proud military mom, with her son Jacob serving in the U.S. Army. She and her husband have three children total—two sons and a daughter—as well as a beloved Great Bernese dog named Cub.
Julie loves working with kids in the office, and outside of work, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family.
Kristin
Orthodontic Assistant
I consider myself to be quite lucky to have been part of the Birmingham community as an employee of the previous doctor who had a prestigious practice in this office for almost 30 years. I am also excited to be considered an important part of the office as doctor Degenhardt brings a fresh new perspective to the office as he continues providing the best possible care for our current patients along with welcoming new patients to the practice. I am excited to join Dr. Degenhardt with educating young students at local schools about the importance of proper oral hygiene and a healthy bite. I am also excited to join him as he becomes more active and involved in small town events like the farmers market and movies in the park all while he supports the city of Birmingham.
As for my responsibility in the office, I have been fortunate to learn several different aspects of the office which allow me to help in several different areas of the office when needed. First and foremost, I work chairside with Dr. Steve. One of my favorite and most important responsibilities is to provide support and care for our patients through every aspect of their treatment from start to finish. With that, I am a true believer that knowledge is power for our patients! The more that our patients know and understand every aspect of their treatment, the more excited and comfortable they are about the process, benefits, and life-changing end result. There is nothing more exciting and rewarding than seeing a patient the day their braces come off and how it gives them a new found self-confidence!
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love experiencing new restaurants, sporting events, concerts and different kinds of charity events in and around metro-Detroit. I am also very fortunate that I am able to experience and explore new and exciting places through traveling.
